The Secret

Voice and violin are powerful instruments. With these three brilliant musicians a colorful sound of music from east and west is created. The ensemble met through Kurdish song and Swedish folk music as they studied by the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, but their curiousity leads them to fantastic worlds of music when they explore the secrets of the voice and violin.

Bridget Marsden has a Master in Swedish folk music from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.

Shamiran is studying middle eastern music at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. I Kurdistan she is well-known as "Kani".


Kersti

Sheshti Johansson
- Violin

Sheshti was introduced to traditional Swedish folkmusic in early ages and have since then had a close relationship to this music. She is one of the few who has a firm hand in the tradition of Närke (her home province), and was only at the age of 19 when she received the honourable title as National master musician. But Sheshti makes magic of tunes from the entire Sweden, and presents her repertory with a glow of energy, which makes her an appreciated solo fiddler, especially to dance.
